Directions to Tweetsie Railroad
Tweetsie Railroad is located on Highway 321 between Boone and Blowing Rock, North Carolina. From the Blue Ridge Parkway exit at milepost 291 (Boone exit).
Please note an area of construction that could affect your travel to Tweetsie:
- US 321 between Lenoir and Blowing Rock closes for road construction on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Noon to 2:00 pm, and Mondays from 8 pm to 5 am Tuesday.
Be sure to allow for delays and/or detours, which route all traffic through Wilkesboro. During the closure, the following detour sign will be in place:
NC 18 to Wilkesboro to US 421 to Boone to US 321 to Blowing Rock.

“My family and I just visited Tweetsie twice in June, and I just wanted to tell you how much fun we had. My husband and I visited many times as children, but it was even more wonderful it was to share the experience with our children. Every staff member at Tweetsie was so very nice. They were kind and courteous and treated our 8-year-old daughter like a princess. Tweetsie is a great family theme park and I hope it is around for a long, long time!”
