Letterland Days 2010

Visit Tweetsie Railroad during our Letterland Days, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, May 11, 12 & 13 (9 am to 4 pm) to see your favorite Letterland characters come to life!  Letterland is a child-friendly phonics program which uses a multi-sensory approach combining phonics and storytelling. 

For the past 3 years Tweetsie Railroad's Letterland Days have served as both a reward and celebration of North Carolina children's literary achievements.  This year, reading assessment scores have already climbed higher in more districts using Letterland.  So it looks like there will be an even bigger reason to celebrate this May! And we are pleased to announce that author and originator of Letterland Lyn Wendon plans to be at Tweetsie Railroad for Letterland Days.
From Talking Tess’s train to Eddie Elephant’s Gem Mine, each area of the park is an opportunity for children to learn and play!

Planning

• Make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance to receive Group rate of $17 (Age 3-12) and $26 (Age 13+).
• Have 20 or more paying guests in group (paid staff and bus drivers are free).
• Parents/siblings receive Group admission rate only when paying through school or group leader. Please communicate clearly to parents about how to receive the group admission rate.  Those who do not reserve with a group of 20 or more will pay the regular admission rate of $22 (Age 3-12) and $32 (Age 13+) at the gate.
• Golden Rail Season Pass holders can bring a photocopy of their pass for free admission.
• Our "After 3 the next day is free" admission policy is not offered during Letterland Days.
• Your group will be assigned a train and lunch time/location.
• Tweetsie operates rain or shine; please remind your group to bring rain gear.

• Arrival changes? We realize your group attendance numbers may change often in the days leading up to the arrival date. Please call the Group Sales office at least 24 hours before arrival with any box lunch changes, or any significant attendance changes (800-526-5740, ext. 108).
